About Us
My mother wore the same copper cuff for 61 years now.
She never took it off. Not in the shower. Not in the garden. Not in her sleep, not in the hospital at the end. We called it superstition. She called it hers.
She grew up in a house where the women wore copper the way other people wear a wedding ring the same way her mother did, and her mother before her. "You girls put things on to be looked at," she told me once. "I put this on to remember who I come from."
She made it to ninety-six. I don't think a bracelet did that; I think she did that. But she had something most of us have lost one small thing she put on every morning that tied her to every woman standing behind her. A ritual three thousand years old. Nothing to schedule. Nothing to remember. Just a weight on the wrist.
That's why this collection exists. Pure copper, made the way copper deserves to be made no plating, no filler, no shortcuts hidden under a finish. Just solid metal that darkens where you touch it most and turns into a record of your own hands. Every piece shaped by hand, one at a time. There are only so many we can make.
Her cuff is on my arm as I write this. Worn smooth and pale inside, deep red-brown out.
Too late to tell her she was right. Not too late for you.
